Because these buses are the most frequent, usually every 2-3 minutes.
On the other hand, some people will opt to go to Woodlands MRT Station (NS9/TE2) instead, and take the SMRT bus 950 from the Woodlands Bus Interchange.
You should choose whichever option works best for you.
A word of advice: Taking the bus is best for those travelling light or solo/in a pair. This is because you have to alight at both immigration checkpoints with all your belongings!

Option 1: Take Bus At Opp Kranji Station Bus Stop (Bus Stop Code: 45131)
Get on a MRT train in Singapore and get off at Kranji MRT Station.
Then, head to Exit C. Walk about 150m (3 minutes) to “Opp Kranji Station” bus stop (see image below).
From there, take a bus bound for JB. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes to reach Woodlands Checkpoint.

You can also get off at Woodlands MRT Station instead and walk for about 2 minutes to Woodlands Bus Interchange (see image below).

Or, you can choose to take one of the following buses from Woodlands Bus Interchange to Woodlands Train Checkpoint:
- Bus 911 & Bus 911T (Berth: B12)
- Bus 856 (Berth: B11)

From there, walk to Woodlands Checkpoint across the footbridge (about 7 minutes, ~500m). Clear immigration at the checkpoint and then get on any bus to JB from there.
