• Straightforward route from Singapore to Westin Desaru
• Not subject to road traffic at the land border crossing.
• Free hourly shuttle bus from Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal to The Westin Desaru.
• More affordable for solo travellers or couples compared to private taxi transfer.

 

Cons:

• Limited ferry schedules – only ONCE daily.
• Subject to weather-related delays, especially during the monsoon season.
• Expensive for families, with no discounts for children.

Ferry tickets are SGD 70 per person (one-way) and SGD 108 (return) from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore to Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal.

The ferry journey itself takes about 90 minutes, but passengers need to be at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal an hour earlier to clear immigration.

From Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal, it’s a 10-minute shuttle ride to The Westin Desaru.

Currently, WTS Travel is the only bus service that travels directly from Singapore to Desaru Coast. 

You can board the bus from Suntec City Mall or Jurong East, and tickets are just SGD 24 one-way.

 

The bus ONLY drops off at Desaru Waterpark, Hard Rock Desaru Hotel, Anantara Desaru, and Four Points Desaru, so you’ll need to arrange onward transport to Westin Desaru.
