The only way to get to Tioman is by a combination of land and sea transport.

If you’re keen to self-drive to Mersing Jetty or Teluk Gading Jetty from Singapore, there are some drawbacks you should be aware of.
Catching a ferry can be quite a stressful thing. And it’s even more stressful if you’re driving to an unfamiliar location when you’re pressed for time.
I can only recommend it if you plan to depart as early as possible or plan to stay overnight in Mersing town first. Otherwise, it might be better going by private taxi or direct coach.
